Urban Youth B.O.L.T.

Urban Youth B.O.L.T.  is a culturally and community based violence prevention and intervention program for African American males or females ages 10-17 years-old. The program uses the 7 Principles of Kwanzaa and an 8th principle, respect, to increase  cultural awareness, positive social behavior, critical thinking and decision making skills. Weekly sessions are held over various weekly time frames. Program options include:

Program 1: Intervention group focused on the diversion program. Gender specific and  developmentally appropriate. Held at The Center for Holistic Development weekly. This programs participants are referred by our community partners, parents and the Juvenile Assessment Center.

Program 2: Community-based, gender specific violence prevention groups. Held at partner organization locations. Weekly one hour sessions for an eight week time period.
